Frequently asked questions

Learn first, then sign up.

Is my data private?
Yes. The platform is private by default — other owners cannot see your forest value, work, or photos. Comparisons with other owners in your parish are anonymised — you see parish averages; nobody sees your exact plots. A public profile exists only if you choose it.
Is mySilva for owners or companies?
Both paths. For private owners — value dashboard, map, and AI guidance. For timber companies — harvest planning, buyer prices, work orders, and documents in one workspace.
Why doesn't mySilva belong to a logging company?
Because a manager who also buys timber has a structural conflict of interest. mySilva stays independent — neutrality is the basis of the service, not a competitive edge.
How fast can I see my forest after signing up?
About 30 seconds. Enter the 11-digit cadastre number — the system shows stands on the map, and estimates value. The account is free and initial views are not restricted.
What happens to my data if mySilva shuts down?
You can download your full forest history — work, photos, data — anytime as PDF and CSV. We are building a long-term platform you can trust for decades; data portability is part of that trust.
How do cookies and analytics work on mySilva?
We use essential cookies so sign-in and security work. Google Analytics loads only if you accept it in the cookie notice. See the Cookie policy and the retention overview in the Privacy policy.
How long do you keep my data?
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes we describe. Indicative periods for account data, forest records, logs, and optional analytics are summarised under “How long we keep data” in the Privacy policy.
